As my sons grew
up in 70's and
80's. I found they needed a consistent set of values on which they
could
rely, so they could learn to make independent decisions. Since their
favorite
door was the one attached to the refrigerator, that became the best
means
of communication.
Guidelines for
Growing Up was
a way of showing the boys what behavior was best. It also taught them
how
to assess and evaluate situations before responding to them.
